Our Statement of Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is divinely inspired, infallible, and entirely trustworthy, and is the supreme authority in all matters of faith.

We believe that there is one true eternal creator God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe God created all things, making man and woman in His own image and for relationship with Him.

We believe sin entered the world through human disobedience following the rebellion of Satan against God.

We believe acknowledgement of our sin and acceptance of the loving grace of God will lead to purity and holiness as the Holy Spirit's work enables the believer to demonstrate the character of the perfect man, Jesus Christ.

We believe the Son, Christ Jesus, was born of a virgin and lived as a sinless man. Out of the abundance of God’s love the Father gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die to save all people from sin. Christ rose from the grave defeating the power of sin.

We believe the death and resurrection of Christ brings salvation by grace through faith to those who repent, seek forgiveness, and believe in Him.

We believe the Holy Spirit, following Jesus’ return to His Father in heaven, lives within those who have salvation as a comforter and guide.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues. 

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and communion.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe Jesus is the only way to a relationship with God. Those who have received salvation have eternal life as joint heirs with Christ. Those who do not believe in Christ are separated from God for eternity.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return as He promised.
